Capital Futbol Club Celebrates 30 Years of Soccer Excellence and Community Engagement

SALEM, Ore. - Capital Futbol Club (CFC), Salem's longstanding soccer organization, is excited to commemorate its 30th Anniversary on Sunday, June 11th. The event will take place at CFC's Complex on John Chambers Field during halftime of the men's 5pm USL2 Match.

Since its establishment three decades ago as "Salem United Soccer Club", Capital Futbol Club has played a vital role in shaping the local soccer community, fostering a deep passion for the sport, and nurturing a strong sense of camaraderie among its members.

The 30-year anniversary celebration aims to honor the individuals who have made significant contributions to the history of Capital Futbol Club and its enduring impact. From players and coaches to staff members and dedicated supporters, this event will serve as a special tribute to their unwavering commitment and the indelible mark they have left on the club.

"We are immensely proud to mark this significant milestone in the history of Capital Futbol Club," said Collin Box, Director of Capital Futbol Club. "This celebration is a testament to the remarkable individuals and community partners who have shaped our club's journey and contributed to our success. It is an occasion to reflect on our achievements, honor our heritage, and inspire future generations to carry forward our legacy."

In addition to commemorating the club's rich history, the ceremony will provide an opportunity for players, supporters, and staff, both past and present, to reunite and cherish the shared memories that define Capital Futbol Club. Many former players, directors, coaches, and staff have been confirmed to be in attendance, and a special halftime ceremony is planned to honor these individuals.

"We extend a warm invitation to everyone who has been a part of Capital Futbol Club over the past 30 years to join us in this celebration," added Box. "Whether you are a former player, coach, staff member, or a passionate supporter, this event is a chance to come together and celebrate the significant role CFC has played in shaping our lives and our community."
