CFC Welcomes Dan Guajardo as the new Business Director

SALEM, Ore. – Capital FC is pleased to announce that Dan Guajardo has been hired as the club’s Business Director.

Dan comes to CFC with a background in commercial and residential construction, real estate, law enforcement, and mental health. Dan’s responsibilities at the club will include helping develop some of the club’s facility-related revenue streams, including running tournaments, scheduling events, helping with sponsorships, and other fundraising related activities. 

“Having watched my 26 year-old participate in recreational and club soccer in Southern California, I have an expectation of soccer excellence,” says Guajardo. When my family settled in Salem in 2018 and found CFC, I could see the potential of the club. After meeting Collin and learning about the values and mission statement CFC upholds, becoming a part of the club was not even a question, the question was, at what capacity can I best serve CFC. As the Business Director for CFC, I am excited to guide and assist CFC expand its footprint from a local club to travel from to a nationally recognized destination to play elite level soccer.”

“We’re excited for Dan to get involved and help us continue our strategic plan for sustainable development of our complex,” says Collin Box, Executive Director. “His efforts will help us fuel our mission of providing top quality programming to our community while at the same time making our programming accessible to players and families from all socioeconomic backgrounds.”

Dan started as a volunteer recreational coach with CFC in 2018.  As of today Dan has earned his Grassroots soccer licenses, volunteers as a recreational, Jr. Academy, and Pre-Academy coach. This last year Dan answered the call of CFC needing a coffee vendor and started “Coach Dan’s Coffee Stand.”  Dan’s continued support of CFC in the role of Business Director is a testament to his unquestionable commitment to CFC and its families.
