CFC welcomed into the girls academy
SALEM, Ore. — Capital FC has announced its acceptance into the Girls Academy (GA), the leading youth development platform for the best female soccer players in the United States.
The GA is the only national youth soccer platform that represents the collective vision of member clubs and actively engages the voice of the players to take real ownership of the league. They embrace the desire of club members and players to maintain an unrivaled standard of excellence in coaching, competition, and regional and national showcase events throughout the year.
“We are honored to be selected to join the prestigious GA for the 2022/23 season,” stated CFC’s Director of Coaching, Joe Wentworth. “To complete against the top clubs in the nation and give our female athletes the best possible opportunity to achieve their dream of playing collegiate or professional soccer has been a top priority for our club.”
The GA is committed to cultivating an environment that empowers each player to reach their best potential as an exceptional athlete and human being by celebrating the player’s journey with a lifelong love of the game through competition, showcases, and camaraderie. Member participate in national events, regional events, as well as Talent ID showcases.
“Thanks to the GA aligning club values, high level of play, and exposure opportunities, we believe this to be a crucial step in defining the pathway for our young female athletes.”
On top of extra showcases and exposure opportunities, the GA offers an “Advisory Panel,” which affords the players the chance to nominate and maintain a player-led board representing players thoughts, opinions, and goals.
CFC will be leaving the current Club vs Club league and transition into the Girls Academy.
