Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Brings 200+ Community Members to CFC
Over 200 guests stepped foot on Capital FC’s new turf field to take part in the Ribbon Cutting ceremony for Ed Davison Field last Friday.
The new turf at Pioneer Sports Park, Capital FC’s complex, completes Phase II in a three-phase development plan of the sports complex, turning the longtime home of CFC into a premier, regional multi-sport complex serving both local organizations and hosting regional and national events.

US Soccer announced the pairings and 1st round games for the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Capital Futbol Clubs USL League 2 squad is set to host Contra Costa FC (NPSL) of California. The game will kick off in Salem at 7pm, Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at John Chambers Field (CFC).

CFC brings TOPSoccer to Salem
Capital Futbol Club is excited to start TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) in Salem this spring. This TOPSoccer program is set to bring inclusion to the soccer field and create opportunities as well as grow relationships in our community.

CFC Community Mourns the Loss of Former Board Member, Chris Morscheck
Few people in the CFC community will recognize the name, but thousands of kids and families continue to benefit from his invisible service.
Morscheck was a board member during a key spell in the club’s history, from 2008 until 2013. After serving as a director on the board, Morscheck spent several years volunteering his time as the groundskeeper, often spending 40 or more hours a week on the fields and facilities.
